University of Texas Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Complex
|
|
The
original Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Facility, designed by O'Connell Robertson in
1984, was expanded in 1998 from 36,000 to 90,000 SF. The expanded, high profile
facility includes an indoor running track; strength training and rehabilitation
rooms; physical therapy support areas; recreational areas; academic classrooms;
auditorium; football team locker rooms; and administrative offices; all enhanced
by next-generation technology.

was part of UT's $40 million Texas Memorial Stadium expansion. Project
challenges successfully met by O'Connell Robertson included site

McCord Student Center at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary
|
|
This
26,000 SF student center for the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary is the
largest building project on campus since the Seminary opened in 1880, requiring
special attention to integration of the new facility into the built fabric of
the campus. The design solution for this site, which included a severe slope,
was a multi-story scheme, stepping down the slope to an existing creek. This provided
a cost-effective solution to achieving program requirements and opened the north
facade and exterior decks to the natural landscape bordering the creek.
Features include a Fellowship
Hall, campus post office, classrooms, administrative offices, and guest residence
suites.
